Villa Daneila is just two kilometres from the centre of Crikenvica, set on the Adriatic coast and considered one of its jewels - where the sea and the green plains of the Vinodol valley meet.

Crikvenica has a host of seasonal events, including the traditional Fishermen's Week (one of the oldest festivals in Crikvenica). St Anthony's church is a tranquil visiting place, and the Russian Orthodox church has an immense 35m high belfry. Crikvenica Town Museum houses local artefacts within an attractive and well-organised space is worth a visit, as is the Aquarium which is home to over 150 species.

The "love road" is a beautiful hike past an old fort, with the full path being a 3-hour long hiking trail in stunningly unspoilt nature.

The coastal stretch around Crikvenica is ideal for watersports, from diving to snorkelling, while boat trips to the nearby islands make for a fun-filled day trip.
